A stunning, hand painted gown from Zandra Rhodes that was most likely a custom order and it is not a far stretch of the imagination to think that it could have been used as a wedding gown even! It has a delicious Medieval feel to it with its cut out shoulders and high set bodice. Gold silk organza is pleated in the a Fortuny style and used to create the sleeves and again though the body of the dress. Onto this is a pink silk chiffon, hand painted with little clusters of gold stars - panels swirl down each side of the hip and have her signature cut out edging. The bodice has a gold lace overlay onto which faux pearls are hand applied. A swath of pink silk rings the collar and is secured by large pink toned pearls, it is just extraordinary and very special! Excellent, appears unworn condition!
Fully lined in a pink rayon and closes with a back painted metal zipper. The cuffs and "shoulders" of the sleeves have pink braided cord that you tie to tighten and hold in place. Fabric is hand painted
